March Favourites

Hello everyone and welcome back to The Curious Case of K.J. Crockett!

As we're coming to the end of March, I thought I would do a March Favourites post. I love reading/watching these sort of posts, so I thought I would do one for you!

First of all, I recently purchased a new lipstick and that is the Rimmel Kate Moss Nude Lipstick in the shade 45. A few weeks back, I was just browsing in my local Superdrug, and I realised that they have the New Nude Range in the Rimmel Kate Lipsticks. The first one that stood out to me was definitely the 45 shade, and it is absolutely beautiful.

The next product is one I have heard multiple brilliant reviews on, and I just HAD to try it for myself, and that is the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation. All of the reviews I had read on this product said this was such a great foundation, so of course, I had to purchase it myself to try, and I agree. It's such a brilliant foundation!!

Another product which I have been absolutely loving this month is the L'oreal Glam Bronze Contouring Duo. The bronzing and highlighting shades in this are absolutely stunning, and I have been loving using this every morning.

One item that has been my go-to at the moment, is the MAC Prep + Prime + Fix +. This setting spray makes my make up stay on all day, and is, in my eyes, an essential in anyone's make up collection.

A new eyeshadow palette that I recently purchased was the Seventeen Easy on the Eye Palette in the shade Birthday Suite. I have been loving this palette, it has such beautiful shades for a Rose Gold/Spring eye look. It's quiet similar to the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. For anyone looking for a high street alternative for the Naked 3 palette, the Easy on The Eye Palette is perfect for you.

I recently treated myself to a collection of new make up brushes, and those were the Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Brush Set and also the Morphe 15 Piece Wooden Handle Brush Set. I love collecting make up brushes, and as my motto says, "A Girl can NEVER have too many Make Up Brushes". Both of these sets are absolutely gorgeous, and apply all my make up beautifully.

My lips have been going through a stage where they have been really chapped. So I invested in some LUSH Lip Scrub in the flavour Bubblegum to help them out. My lips have been so much better since I have been using this treatment, and I highly recommend it to you.

A non-beauty favourite of mine this month has been a TV mini series which I have been addicted to. That is Thirteen on BBC 3. It's about a girl who has escaped from captivity after she was kidnapped thirteen years earlier. I highly recommend this series to everyone! You can online access it on the BBC Three website or iPlayer, and it truly an edge-of-your-seat drama.

Well there you go Ladies and Gents, my favourites for the month of March. We're now coming into the Month of April, A.K.A my birthday month!

Until next time,
Katy x

Everyday Make Up Routine

Hello everyone and welcome back to The Curious Case of K.J. Crockett!

Today I'm going to be doing a very highly requested video, and that is my Everyday Make Up Routine. My routine does change every so often, as I get new products, but this is my routine as it is today!

**Disclaimer**

The products I use are a mixture of high end and high street brands, and I am in no way meaning to brag about the products I own.

My first step is BB Cream, and the one I use is the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream. Moisturising your skin is such an important step in my routine, and I feel this BB Cream does my skin justice.

Next, is primer. For that, I use the Benefit The POREfessional Pro Balm Primer. This is such a brilliant primer. It is on the pricier end of the spectrum, but I feel it is 100% worth it.

Then I go onto foundation, and at the moment, I'm mixing two together and those are NARS Sheer Glow Foundation and No. 7 Stay Perfect Foundation. My skin is in a bit an in between stage at the moment with it's shade. In the winter I'm as white as a wall, and I get a slight bit of tan as the sun comes out more, and as we're in between season's now, my skin is in between shades.

Next step is concealer. On my blemishes, I use the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer, and under my eyes I use my very much loved Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. Both of these concealers are utterly amazing, but I feel where one works best, the other is not so good, so the combination of the two is perfect.

For powder, I use my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Powder. MAC is my all round favourite brand, and there powders do not disappoint.

Next I move onto my eyes, and firstly I apply some Eyeshadow Primer, and for that I use the amazing Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer Potion. When I apply this before my eye shadow, it makes it last all day, and you can't ask for anything better from an eye shadow primer.

Whilst my primer sets, I fill in my eye brows, and to do so, I use the Rimmel Professional Eye Brow Pencil. My preferred way of filling in my brows is pencil, and I feel this is the best eyebrow pencil out there.

Now I go back to my eyeshadow, and at the moment, my go-to palette is definitely the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. I feel as the Naked 2 palette has a perfect variety of shades, and has a mixture of Matte and Shimmer shades. I apply the shade "Tease" as a base shade, and then a I add a little shimmer with the shades "Snake Bite" and "Suspect". For my crease, I use the shade "Busted" and blend. To add a little shimmer to my outer corner, I add a little bit of the shade "YDK", and a little along my lash line.

Next I do my lashes, and I have been absolutely loving the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. You have probably heard other online beauty gurus rave about this mascara, and I don't blame them. This mascara makes my lashes look stunning and is a must have in my daily routine.

Then I move onto contouring, probably my favourite step in my routine. For it, I use the ever so lovely Elizabeth Arden Bronzing Duo. The darker shade is a bit too dark for me, but the lighter shade is my perfect match, and makes my cheeks look gorgeous.

For blush, I'm absolutely loving the NARS Powder Blush in the shade Orgasm right now. I know it has a very crude name, but the blusher is beautiful, and I love it!

Now I highlight my cheeks with the wonderful MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in the shade Soft & Gentle. This is probably the best highlighter out there right now. I highly recommend it to everyone!

Lastly, I add some stick to my lips, and I am absolutely loving the MAC Lipstick in the shade Faux. I am a sucker for nude lipsticks and I feel this one is beautiful.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post!

This blog is growing bigger and bigger every day, and I really can't explain how great that is. I'm getting quite a few friend requests from you guys on Facebook. I appreciate you guys doing it, but I want to keep my Facebook private. So this is the reason I have made a page on Facebook just for you guys, to be kept up to date with every thing that goes on in my crazy life. I'll leave a link for you, so go ahead and like it!

Skincare Routine

Hello everyone and welcome back to The Curious Case of K.J.Crockett!

In today's post, I'm going to be talking about how I look after my skin. Like most teenagers, I am prone to getting spots and blackheads. I'm not saying that my routine 100% clears up your skin, trust me, it doesn't, but it does help keep my skin healthy, and helps my spots when I have break outs. All of the products I use is from my local high street, and are decent prices.

To remove my eye make up, I use the Nivea Double Effect Eye Make Up. I have tried multiple eye make up removers, and this has been my stand out favourite. It removes all eyeshadow, mascara and eyeliner so simply, and you really don't need much on your cotton pad. Just shake it, pour it and you're ready to go.

To clean off my foundation, I have 2 steps.
Firstly, I wipe my face with The Body Shop Vitamin E Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes. These wipes make my skin feel so refreshed, it's unreal. Out of all the brands of facial wipes I've gone through, I feel these ones are the best.

After wards, I use the Simple Micellar Water. I find that Micellar Water is such a simple step to beautiful skin. I have very sensitive skin, and find it hard to find products that I don't react to. This is why Simple is such an amazing brand, and their Micellar Water is an essential.

Next in my routine, I use T-Zone Anti-Bacterial Cleanser. There are so many different brands out there that help your spots and skin. Some are better than others, and I found that T-Zone comes above all the rest. It contains tea tree oil, which we all know that is great for your skin. I have pretty much all of the products in the T-Zone range, and they are all absolutely amazing.

After that, I use the brilliant The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet. This moisturiser is fabulous. It smells divine as well. For anyone looking for a perfect moisturiser, I highly recommend this one.

Finally, I use the Soap and Glory Make Yourself Youthful Rejuvenating Facial Serum.  I absolutely love Soap and Glory, there whole entire range is great. This Facial Serum is utterly amazing.

So there we go, my skincare routine, I hope you guys have enjoyed it!

Until Next Time,
Katy x

My Guide to Make Up Brushes

Hello everyone and welcome back to The Curious Case of K.J. Crockett!

In this weeks post, I'm going to be talking about the must have tool for anyone's make up bag, Brushes.
For most products, you are going to need a brush to help assist you apply your make up. Therefore, I decided to give you some advice on the sort of brushes I use to apply mine.

Foundation

My preferred technique to applying my foundation is to buff it into my skin. My two favourite types of buffing brushes have to be either Real Techniques Expert Face Brush or Sigma Round Kabuki Brush. These brushes are perfect at buffing in your foundation and gives you a beautiful air brushed look.

For those of you who prefer a more heavier coverage of your foundation, I highly recommend the MAC 190 Foundation Brush. Buffing brushes give you a medium amount of coverage, but it can be built up, whereas a flat foundation brush gives you a more heavier coverage, and I feel that this brush does it perfectly.

Concealer

You can use all sorts of different types of brushes for your concealer, but my preferred kind is a smaller brush, as they fit under the eye perfectly. The brush I use is the Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush. This brush was originally made for eyeshadow, but I feel it is prefect for applying you under eye concealer as it's the perfect size.

Bronzer

My favourite bronzer brush has to be the MAC 168 Large Contour Brush. This is the perfect brush to give you that gorgeous, contoured look. MAC brushes are fabulous, and there is such a huge variety of them, and this brush is must have.

Eyeshadow

For eyeshadow, there are all kinds of different brushes. I feel a girl can never have to many eyeshadow brushes, but I'm just going to name a couple for essential.

For blending, my favourite is the B. Eyeshadow Blending Brush.  This brush is the perfect size for blending you eyeshadow in, and it is utterly brilliant.

For the crease, my go to brush is the MAC 228 Mini Shader Brush. It fits perfectly into my crease, and gives a perfectly precise line for shading. I absolutely love it.

Blusher

As I mentioned in my previous post, I feel blusher completes an everyday make up look. I couldn't apply my blush without my Real Techniques Blush Brush. It is such an amazing brush, it applies absolutely any blush perfectly.

I hope you enjoyed this post and learnt from it. I know how tough it is when you're new to make up and building up your collection, and finding the right products and tools for you. My main aim in this blog is to help those of you who are new to make up and are looking for somewhere to go to for advice. I just want to pass on my knowledge onto you guys!

Until next time,
Katy x

Blusher for Beginners

Hello everyone and welcome back to The Curious Case of K.J.Crockett!

In today's post, I'm going to be talking about one of my favourite make up products. Blusher. For some of you, blusher may be a waste of time, and you don't see the point in it. My aim in this post is to turn those thoughts around, and show you how a little bit of blusher can complete your everyday make up look.

One of my favourite blushers at the moment is the Estee Lauder Pure Colour Blush.

I'm a huge fan of Estee Lauder products, and their blushers are close to my heart. The colours are absolutely stunning and even the packaging is beautiful. The colour I have, "Pink Kiss", is slightly too dark for my pale complexion, so I can't go overboard with it. If I apply it nice and gently with my Real Technique Blush Brush, it makes my cheeks look all lovely and pinky, and ironically, looks like I've had a "Pink Kiss".

If your not wanting to go too overboard with blusher, a really nice subtle blush is the M.A.C Pro Long Wear Blush.

M.A.C is probably my favourite make up brand ever, and their Pro Long wear blushes are so beautiful. They're not too heavy to apply, and they give your skin a nice, skin-finished look. I have it in the shade "Stay By Me", and it is gorgeous. They do have a heavy price tag attached, but my opinion is that it is totally worth it, as it's such a high quality blush.

If you have a tight budget, and still want to get a good quality Blush, I highly recommend the Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush.

This blush is absolutely beautiful. It gives a stunning, cheerful glow to my cheeks, and it doesn't make you look like a barbie doll. I have it in the colour "Pink Rose", and it is gorgeous. The packaging is light and compact as well, so is very useful for those of you that either do a lot of travelling, or have a small make up bag.

I hope you guys have enjoyed this post. I certainly enjoyed writing it.
Every time I look at the number of readers I have, I am amazed. There are so many of you, from all over the world, and you don't understand how much it means to me. I'm just a weird, 15 year old girl from England, who likes to write about her passion for make up. I never thought when I started this blog, that it would be read and enjoyed by so many people from around the world. I just want to let you guys know that I love you all, and you guys are what keeps me going.

Until next time,
Katy x

Drugstore Make Up Starter Kit

Hello everyone and welcome to The Curious Case of K.J.Crockett!

So in today's post, I'm going to be listing my favourite Drugstore Make Up. I know that quite a few of my readers are in there teens, and I thought this would be a really helpful post for those of you who are just starting up their make up collection, or who are wanting to know some good brands in your local drugstore. I might have mentioned a few of the products in my previous post, but that was mixture of High End make up and Drugstore make up, where as this post is purely about the Drugstore brands.
Here in England, we call it a High Street Shop, but in most other places around the world, people refer to it as a Drug store

Foundation

My favourite drugstore foundation has to be the Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation.
It gives an amazing coverage, comes in a variety of skin tone colours and with a cost of only £7.99, I think it is an amazing price for such a brilliant foundation.

Concealer

Like I said in my previous post, my all time favourite concealer is the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. It is an utterly fantastic concealer, and I feel it is a must have for any of you who are starting out, and finding the right products for you.

Powder

My go to drugstore powder has to be the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder. It compliments your skin really nicely, and it keeps your foundation in place.

Mascara

The best mascara of all time has to be the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. It gives your lashes great volume, doesn't make them go clumpy, and it multiplies them beautifully.

Eye Liner

For eyeliner, I had to pick the L'Oreal Super Liner. For most beginners, eye liner can be a little tricky to get right, but trust me, practise makes perfect, and this eyeliner is brilliant for those of you who are new to makeup, or even just eye liner. It's a lovely Gel Liner, that makes your eyes stand out amazingly.

Eyeshadow

Now, as you all know, I am a very big fan of the Urban Decay Naked Palettes for my eye shadow, but they are on the higher end of the price scale, and I know not all of you will be able to afford it. A brilliant substitute for the Naked Palettes is the MUA (Make Up Academy) Eyeshadow palette called 'Undress Me Too'. The colours in the palette are absolutely beautiful, and are perfect to get that smokey eye look.

Blusher

The best drugstore blush is the Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher. My favourite out of all of them i the colour 34, Rose D'or, as it gives your cheeks a lovely, peachy glow and it compliments your make up look beautifully.

Bronzer

One of my favourite bronzers from when I first started my make up collection is The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder. It gives a wonderful contoured look, and if you apply it right, it gives your cheeks that amazing 3D look.

Lips

You can give your lips a variety of different looks. Bold red, dainty pink or a Natural nude. I'm going to suggest 3 lip products for that variety.

For the Bold Red, I have to go with the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in the colour 107. This is a beautiful dark red and is perfect for any occasion.

For Dainty Pink, I have chosen the Barry M lipstick in the colour Pretty Pink. It is a gorgeous pink lipstick, that I feel will suit most skin tones, and will compliment any outfit.

Finally, for the Natural Nude, I have got to choose the Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in the colour 206. This lipstick looks absolutely stunning on whoever wears it and is the perfect nude lipstick.

Brushes

I'm unable to choose one brush in particular, my go to brand for Make up Brushes is Real Techniques. All of the brushes I have used from this brand have been absolutely amazing, and there is pretty much a brush for every step of make up I can think of.

I hope you guys have enjoyed this post, and I hope it helps! Leave any requests or suggestions down below in the comments. I'd just like to say a massive thank you to all of you, as I now have 50,000 readers! It means so much that my blog has gone so far, and it has reached so many people from all over the world!

Until next time,
Katy x

My Top 10 Beauty Must Haves

Hello everybody, and welcome back to The Curious Case of K.J. Crockett!

So, today I'm going to be talking about my favourite subject. No, not food. Make Up.
Now, I never like to categorise myself, but I have to admit, I am a bit of a girly girl when it comes to Make Up. Clothes wise, I'm pretty much a Tom Boy, as I like my jeans all ripped up, my favourite pair of shoes I own are my Converse.

My blog has a wide range of different types of readers. Some are people I know, and some people I don't know. When I looked the other day, I now have over 3,000 viewers, which seems completely insane, and I have quite a few readers from foreign countries as well, such as Russia and Ukraine! So if you're reading this, and you're from those countries, or any other countries in fact, Hello to you. Anyway, lets get back to the subject.

**Disclaimer**

Before I start, I just wanted to say that I am in no means trying to brag about the products I list/own. A few of them are high end, but these are the products that have suited me, and my extremely sensitive skin. Some of the cheaper alternatives have not suited my skin, and caused me to have break outs, rashes etc. I am not saying that you all must have high end products, because High street brands are just as good, but unfortunately, they just react with my skin.

Here are my top 10 beauty must haves.

No. 10 - The Body Shop All-in-One Insta Blur Primer

Out of all of the primers I have tried and tested, this is the one that stands out to me for being the best. It makes my make up stay on a lot longer, and it's not that expensive either. I highly recommend this to any of you who are looking for a good primer.

No. 9 - Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

Real Techniques is one of my all round favourite brand of make up brushes. When starting up your make up kit for the first time, it can be quite tricky deciding what kind of brushes you should get and the ones that suit the way you want to use them. Real Techniques is a really high quality brand with an amazing range of brushes, and has an affordable price tag. Probably the most essential out of all of there brushes is the Expert Face brush. You can use this brush for so many stages of your make up. Your foundation, your concealer, contouring. I even used it for blush once. It's an amazing brush that I feel is an essential in anyones make up bag.

No. 8 - Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

I have heard so many positive reviews on this mascara, so I just had to try it out, and I was not disappointed. I find it really easy to apply, and it doesn't make my lashes go all clumpy. It gives them a nice volume and it multiplies them nicely.

No. 7 - Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

Before putting on any eyeshadow, and must have essential is a eyeshadow primer/base, to keep the eye shadow at bay. My favourite primer has to be the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. It goes onto the eyelid extremely well, and one thing I like about it, it's colourless so that it won't clash with whatever eyeshadow colour you choose to wear on top of it.

No. 6 - Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess

I find it really hard to find a good bronzer that suits my skin tone, as I'm as pale as a white wall. I've tried so many brands, and haven't been able to find the right one. That is, until I tried Estee Lauder. Their Bronze Goddess bronzer range is perfect for anyone who can never find a bronzer light enough for them, like moi. One thing that really annoys me about people when they apply bronzer, is that some people never blend it in that well, and it just looks like a big orange slug on your face. The thing with Bronze Goddess is that it blends in really nicely, and gives you a nice, contoured cheek.

No. 5 - Real Techniques Beauty Blending Sponge

Now I know some people are a bit wary about using blending sponges. I was to begin with, but when I used mine for the first time, I was amazed how well it blends in my face products. Like I said previously, some people never properly blend their contouring in,  and it just looks dreadful. If you find it hard to blend things in, I highly suggest investing in a beauty blending sponge. It's a real life saver, trust me.

No. 4 - Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

Loads of online beauty gurus have been raving about this product, and I can see why. This concealer is the best in the business. It does pretty much every skin tone I can think of, and it does a really good job on blemishes, and dark under eye circles, that I can never get rid of. It's at an affordable price and easy to get hold of. What more could a girl ask for?

No. 3 - Urban Decay Naked Palettes

When it comes to eyeshadow, we all have that one brand that we keep going back to, because we love the palettes they do. For me, that brand is Urban Decay. Their Naked Palettes are my favourite ever eyeshadows. I couldn't choose just one of them. I currently have Naked 1 & 2, and they are the best in the world. You have so many colours to choose from, it's unreal, and the quality is amazing.

No. 2 - Foundation

I couldn't decide on putting just one foundation in my top 10, so a decided to but a few in, as I love them all so much. First, is the NARS Sheer Glow foundation. It's such a great foundation. It does take a while to blend in, but once blended, your face looks so utterly gorgeous. Second, is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Nude Foundation. This gives such good coverage, and it lasts all day. For a high street brand, it's a great foundation. Last but not least, is the L'oreal Paris Infallible 24 hour Stay Foundation. It applies on really well, and has a great consistency, It lasts for ages, and is a great foundation.

No. 1 - MAC Velvet Teddy Matte Lipstick

In everyone's make up bag, we all have a favourite lipstick we wear every day. Mine is the Mac Velvet Teddy Matte Lipstick. Mac lipsticks are renowned for how brilliantly amazing their lipsticks are, and I love all of their lipsticks that I own, but Velvet Teddy has to be my favourite. It's the perfect dark pinky nude shade for my every day look. It compliments my make up perfectly.

So there we have it, boys and girls, my Top 10 Beauty Essentials. I hope you enjoyed it.
I've decided to take a slight new direction with my blog, and to base my posts around Beauty and Make Up. I hope you stay with me on my wonderful journey that is my blog.

Until next time,
Katy x

The A-Z of Katy

Hey Guys! Sorry it's been soooo long since my last post. I've been having to deal with some personal issues, to do with my Mental Health.

So, as you can tell from the title of this post, I am going to do an A-Z of me. I got this idea from the gods that are Danisnotonfire and AmazingPhil. No, i haven't forgot how the use the space bar on my laptop. These two boys are my favourite EVER Youtubers. If you haven't heard of them before, feel free to check them out. I'll leave the links to their YouTube page at the bottom of the post.
Anyways, lets get on with the post.

A - Apple

Yup, you guessed it. I am one of the biggest fans of Apple Products. Now some of you guys may totally hate Apple, and that is your choice and I have nothing against that, but much to my Dad's bank account's dislike, I love their products.

B - Bacon Crisps

Everyone has their favourite flavour Walker's crisp, and mine is Smokey Bacon. I always bring a bag into school and have some at break time. The only downside about this flavour, is that when you have one packet, all that you can taste and smell in your breath for the rest of the day is Bacon...Luckily, Tic Tacs were invented.

C - Charli XCX

I am pretty much obsessed with Charli XCX's music. My favourite song would probably have to be Break the Rules. (Yes Mum, that is the song I am constantly blaring out from my speakers).

D - Domino's

Like many teenagers around the world, Pizza is my favourite food, and a Pizza isn't a Pizza if it isn't from Domino's. I'm very boring when it comes to Pizza, my favourite topping is just a plain Cheese and Tomato, but Oh No, not just any Cheese and Tomato. It has to be an 8 slice, stuffed crust with extra cheese.

E - Elephants

Ever since my big sister Rosie gave me a cuddly toy elephant when I was like 3 years old, my collection has expanded to over 100...

F - Facebook

I could literally spend my whole life on Facebook. I am pretty much a Facebook-aholic. Some people may think this is bad...meh.

G - Green Day

Probably my favourite band of all time. Know Your Enemy, Wake Me Up When September Ends, 21 Guns. There's a Green Day song for pretty much every situation. Not to mention Boulevard of Broken Dreams, which pretty much my life story put into a song.

H - Harry Potter

I am probably biggest Harry Potter fan you have ever met (or if you don't know me personally, you know of). You should have seen me when I went to The Making of Harry Potter last summer with my Mum. I was fan girling like a 5 year old.

I - iPhone

I am literally glued to my phone 24/7. If I do not feel a phone-shaped bulge in my pocket (I know some of my readers will take that in the wrong way), I have a mini heart attack, thinking something tragic is going to happen and no one will be able to contact me (I know I'm not the only one *Sam Smith quote*).

J - Jessie

If you follow me on Snapchat, Instagram or any form of social media, you will know that I am completely obsessed with my beautiful dog Jessie. She is the most gorgeous creature to walk this earth, I love her so much! Just look at her!!!

K - Karaoke

Everytime I get the house to myself, I go onto YouTube, and do some Karaoke, and pretend I'm performing at Glastonbury. Whether I'm shaking my booty like Beyoncé or being soulful like Sam Smith, I love singing.

L - Laptop

If I could, I would take my laptop with me everywhere I go. It's my portal to the Internet and things I couldn't live without, like Netflix and Youtube. It's like having my whole life in an object.

M - Make Up

I have a passion for makeup which I cannot explain. I just love it. I love all different types, makes, the whole lot. In my makeup draw, I probably have enough foundation to last me a lifetime. My favourite brands include Mac, Nars, Urban Decay, Rimmel, Benefit. I could sit here all day naming them. I do have some very exciting things happening coming up to do with Make Up and my Blog. You'll have to keep your eyes peeled.

N - Netflix

Netflix is love, Netflix is life. That is all there is to say.

O - Once Upon A Time

Once Upon A Time is simply the best TV series there is. I love it so much, it hurts. It's about fairytale characters living in modern day town. There is a lot more to it than that, but if you wanna know more, you know what you must do. It's extremely addictive, don't say I didn't warn you. If I can't persuade you to watch it, I'll let Captain Hook do it for me...

P - Pizza

*See letter D*

Q - Quiche

For some reason, I am slightly addicted to Cheese and Bacon Quiches..I don't know what it is about them, I could just live on them.

R - Ricky

Like Jessie, Ricky is one of my gorgeous dogs. I love him to pieces! We adopted him in March this year, to be a companion for Jessie. He is just utterly gorgeous...

S - Sleep

I could literally sleep all day, every day. My bed is my easiest Hello and my hardest Good Bye.

T - Television

Like the majority of people my age, I spend a lot of my time watching TV. I love all different types of shows. I love Big Brother, Next Top Model, Eastenders, The Simpsons etc.

U - Urban Decay

Like I said in letter M, I love make up. One of my all time favourite brands is Urban Drcay. Some people may not of heard of Urban Decay, as it is a High end brand, and it's not one of the brands you can buy in your local Superdrug or Boots. I highly recommend this brand for those of you who can afford slightly pricey make up.

V - The Vaccines

I absolutely love a band called The Vaccines. They're amazing! I'll leave a link to they're Vevo page down bellow.

W - Worrying

As I suffer with an Anxiety disorder, worrying about things is my second nature. I worry about stupid little things which to some of you, may seem stupid. The most common thing people tell me to do is 'Just stop worrying'. To me, that is like telling a deaf person to 'Just listen more carefully'.

X - ?

I literally cannot think of a thing I like that begins with the letter X...

Y - Yelling

Being a hormonal, nearly 16 year old teenager, yelling comes easy to me. Just ask my parents...

Z - Zzzzzzz......

*see letter S*

So, that brings this post to a close. Again, sorry it's been ages since my last post. Nearly a year (!). I plan on posting more this year, but please bare in mind that I do have my GCSE's coming up, and I do have to revise.

Until next time,

Katy x

It's been a while...

Well hello there internet. As the title says, It's been a while...... I'm so sorry I haven't posted in while I've been busy with school, social stuff etc. So I thought I would update you with stuff in the life of moi.

So, the last time I posted was in January... That feels like such a long time ago. So much stuff has happened since then, it's unreal. 2 Relationships, exams, arguments, and just stuff in general. But I won't bore you the nitty gritty parts. Just the exciting parts.

So, Valentine's day, I spent with friends, playing Portal 2, eating Ben and Jerry's, which was fun, until one of them came along with their boyfriend, so that spoilt the 'singles day'. I ended up, curled up in a corner, eating a Chinese Takeaway.

In March, my best friend Hannah and I set up a YouTube channel. We filmed a few videos, but when it came to editing them, we realised they had no sound... We've been meaning to film them again, but have never come round to it. When we do eventually, I shall let you know. For now, you can follow us on Twitter 'BeautyTeenQueens'.
Also in March, I got involved with my local radio station 'The Voice' which my dad part owns. I am now a correspondent on the Saturday show 'Out of Bounds'. If you live locally to me, tune into The Voice, every Saturday 11-1:00pm. I love doing it, Me, Deb and Toby are the correspondents and the presenters are Steve and Adam, but us teens take over most of the show. Steve and Adam just control the decks.

In the Easter Holiday, I did lots of thing. 2 birthday parties, 2 sleepovers and one very exciting thing. I went to Cardiff with my sister and saw McBusted. They were AMAZING. We were quite close to the stage, and at one point, James from the band was throwing T-Shirts into the crowd, and we caught one, after fighting over it with other people. Dougie was so close, it was unbelievable. FYI, Dougie is my favourite.

So in less than a weeks time, on April 25th, I say goodbye to being 14 and say hello to being 15. Half way to 30. I'm looking forward to it. Having a sleepover with 3 of my girlies on the Friday night, and on the Saturday, having a BBQ with the rest of my girlies and 2 of my guy mates. It's gonna be great. Had my birthday present early this year. A PS4 (thank you daddy).

So yeah, that's been the interesting parts of my life in the last 3 months. The other stuff is just the boring bits, and stuff I don't wish to post on the internet.

Until next time,
Katy x

One For The Girls

Hello there blog world. Katy here.
Wow, i've actually kept my promise to you and managed to write a post once a week...Something must be happening to me.
Today, I decided to talk to you about what constantly seems to be on my mind, and the majority of teenage girls. BOYS.

Just for a general update for my blog readers, I am now a single pringle. I'd rather not go into detail.
In this post, I am not going to be talking about the hot boys in my year at school because:
A. Only the people at my school that read my blog will know who I am on about
B. Those boys, by some miracle, might be actually reading my blog.

So, instead, I decided to talk about boys in the public eye, boys that people have heard of, that's if they haven't been living under a rock for the last 5 years or so.

Zac Efron
If you guys were like me when you were little, you all wanted to be the future Mrs Bolton, and sing and dance through the halls of East High, whilst looking into those handsome blue eyes. Damn you Gabriella. Now, he is probably one of the sexiest men alive. With that one almighty six pack, like my mum says, I wouldn't kick him out of bed.

Channing Tatum
I first discovered Mr Tatum after watching the heart breaking Dear John. I have been fan girling over him ever since. That Magic Mike performance? Well, all I can say is I hope I have a Channing Tatum look alike at my hen night. (Mum, if you're reading this, please take note).

Taylor Lautner
Man, this werewolf boy has had me hot under the collar ever since I saw him when he first had his hair cut in New Moon. Imagine being Bella from Twilight. Having to choose between Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson?! I don't know about you, but I don't think I would be able to choose.

Whilst on the Subject of Twilight...

Robert Pattinson
As I said previously, who could choose between Robert and Taylor?! Robert turned vampires from scary to sexy. I was talking to my sister the other day and she said "When I was your age, vampires were scary and everybody hated them. Now, every one wants to marry them and have their children!".

Aston Merrygold
JLS may be a distant memory for some, but not for me. I have seen them live twice. Aston is the known favourite. He is the youngest, and the most sexiest. When he waved and winked at me on the 2012 '4th Dimension' tour, I pretty much passed out on the spot. Just ask my Mum and friend Danielle.

Nick Jonas
When the Jonas Brothers where at there peak in popularity, all the girls at my primary all loved Joe. But me on the other hand, loved Nick. Everyone called my crazy, and said "Nick? Ewww".  I think I can read the future of something, because look at him now...

Dave and James Franco (I can't choose between them)
Just imagine marrying one of the Franco brothers. You have a god damn sexy husband, and you also have a fine looking brother in law at the same time. Bonus!

Chris Evans
Captain America himself. I had to put him in my list because every time I see a picture of him or watch Captain America, my tongue hangs out like a dog. Also, this one is for my best mate Hannah (Love you Banana).

Unfortunately, I have to come to the end of this post. If I was to sit here and list all the sexy men out there, I would be here until I was in my 50's. I'm sorry if your celebrity crush isn't on my list. Like I said, I couldn't list every one. *sigh*

Until next time,
Katy x

A Reflection of 2014

Hey there Bloggers, Happy New Year! (this is so late, it's uncanny). It's been a few months since we last spoke, it's quite sad. Sorry for my absence, I have been enjoying myself over the festive period, by repeatedly watching both Frozen and Elf, whilst stuffing my face with Chocolate and my mum's delicious homemade sausage rolls.
Well, it's the new year, it's new me...... STOP! All I see over Facebook is this whole 'New Year, New Me' stuff..It's bullshit. You can have a new you whatever time of the year. Okay, rant over.
So, for my first Blog of 2015, I thought I would look over the past year and do A Reflection of 2014. Let's do it chronologically, and do each month.

January

Well January 2014 was a month of change for me, I joined Pilton. I was really nervous, I only had a few friends there and my boyfriend of the time. Every one knew me as the 'New Girl'. It was horrible. But on my first few days, I met my what I call 'Friends for Life'. Hannah, Cara and Emily. My now friends for life has grown, but these are the girls I met on my first day/week.

February

Nothing really happened in February really...I settled into Pilton well. Ohhhh, I had my first Valentine's Date. I went to go and see the Lego Movie in the cinema and then had a candle-lit dinner in Pizza Express. Even though that relationship went down in flames (*cough* Taylor Swift quote *cough*), I had to admit, that was probably the cutest date I've been on to date.

March

Again, not a lot happened...All I really did in March was prepare and pack my whole house up as I was due to move house in the next month.

April

This has to be the best month of the year, as it has my birthday in it. (April 25th). April was another month of change for me, as I moved out of a village which I have lived in since I was born. My parents decided to move to Fremington, to be closer to our local town, Barnstaple, as before, I was pretty much living in the middle of nowhere, in a small village, Berrynarbor.
Unfortunately for me, we moved 2 days before my birthday, April 23rd. But the good thing is my friends and I on my birthday filled my bedroom floor with some bubble wrap, and boy can I tell you, all you could hear from my room for the next half hour or so was the pleasant sound of teenage girls giggling with the sound of burst bubble wrap.

May

Now this has to be a month I will never forget, I had my first heartbreak. But on the lighter side, I went on a amazing trip to Wales to visit my auntie and uncle, and I had the enjoyment of having one of my best friends join me.

June

All I seem to remember from June 2014 was our school sports day... I remember being really bored, having to sit with my then tutor group, which has non of my friends in it, and me then sneaking off the my now tutor group which has 3 of my best friends on it, and then suddenly I heard being shouted through the megaphone 'Would Katy Crockett please go and see Mr Powell immediately'. I knew as soon as I heard my name I was in deep shit. My tutor shouted at me for what seemed like ages, and gave me a detention for sneaking off.

July

Ahhhh, the month of freedom. I always want this month to go as quickly as possible, with the thought of the summer holidays at the end of it. I remember the last day, all of my tutor group were sitting in our tutor room, staring at the clock and waiting for final bell to sound. In my head, I was repeating the word 'Summer' every second, a bit like in High School Musical...

August

The blissful taste of summer. How I long for it to be that time again. I remember going down to Ilfracombe, which is an hours bus journey away from where I live, to see my mates, every day for like two weeks. In that time I had two relationships...Those summer nightssss *starts going into Grease medly*

September

Ugh, the dreaded hatred of going back to school. Even worse, I was starting Year 10, which has the added pressure of GCSEs. September 2014 seems to be a bit of a blur for me. I just remember dragging myself out of bed every morning (which I still do now), and hoping and praying to go back in time to the summer, where I stayed in bed until like 1:00 in the afternoon.

October

Again, this month seems to have rushed by. My highlight was probably my Halloween party. Me and Mates had a fancy dress party at my house. The best part about it was probably us all playing hide and seek in Fremington. At the end, it was me and my mate Charlotte on our own, with the rest of them trying to find his. We were running around in the dark, and the weather wasn't too great. We even hid in someone's driveway, and the front automatic light turned on, and the other's still didn't find us.

November

Probably the best thing that happened in November was a trip down to Exeter with one of my best mates Hannah. We went into the Hollister shop, nearly tripped over a mannequin as it's so dark in there, and nearly fainted when one of the fit Hollister models said hello to us. Also, I fulfilled my dream and met Monty the Penguin from the John Lewis adverts.

And Finally...
December

My favourite month of the year (CHRISTMAS!!!). Had another heart break at the beginning of the month, and that affected me badly. Luckily I have some amazing friends who I don't know what I'd do without, so if any of you guys are reading this, which you probably are, Thank you (Shoutout, ohhhhh). Then Christmas came and I got some amazing gifts, including Guitar Hero and MANY boxes of chocolates.

Well, thats 2014. Let's hope 2015 gonna be a good one. Started it off with a bang with Hannah and Papina, which was amazing, and now I have a gorgeous new boyfriend, and I continue t have a strong and amazing group of true, loyal friends.

Until next time,

Halloween Memories

Hello there, Internet strangers. It has been an extremely long time since I have seen you last, which I do apologise for. I have a a common disease called writer's block. Wondering what to write about next.
It is that time of year when we all act our scariest, and dress up for Halloween. As I am writing this, Halloween is only two days away. I came up with the idea of telling you about my Halloween Memories through out the years.

This year is my first year of holding a Halloween Party, all of my own. My friends mentioned the idea of having a big party together, and asked 'Who has the biggest and most creepiest house??' and seeing as I live in a Grade 2 listed Old Mill (in modern day language, I have a water wheel attached to the side of my house), and that my house is hundreds of years old and has many Ghost stories, all of my friends looked at me, and asked weather I could host the party.
After sweet talking my mum, I managed to convince my parents to agree to me hosting this party. So I have 5 of my girls (the rest didn't realise they had other arrangements with there parents that night) coming to my house on Friday night, dressed up as scary stuff, while we eat pizza, chill and listen to music, play games etc. and then 4 of them staying the night. I cannot wait.

One quite scary, yet embarrassing memory from Halloween is from when I was a lot younger, and I was home alone with my mum. My dad was at a boring old council meeting.
As we usually do, me and my mum were sitting down in the lounge, watching EastEnders.  It was about 8:20pm, and it was pitch black. Bearing in mind, that where I used to live, we ever got any trick or treater's, the door bell suddenly went.

My mum slowly walked up to the door and yelled out "Who is it?" and we then got a reply in a deep man's voice saying "It's me". For some reason, my mum thought it was a man named Fred, who owned our house before we moved there. So she unlocked the door, and opened it slightly. According to my mum, she saw this 'ghastly black face with blood stains going 'roar' '. My mum screamed and said "Ew, go away!". She locked the door behind her, grabbed me and ran upstairs to her and my dad's bedroom. She told me that we were not leaving the room until my dad got home.
Eventually we found out that it was my dad's friend Christopher, and his son who is one year older than me,  Johnathan.

Another Halloween experience I had was at a Halloween Trick or Treating experience and Party that my primary school had organised. Whilst we were walking around my village, trick or treating, we were made to walk through the graveyard of the village church, when it was pitch black, and the only light was from the moon.
I was absolutely terrified. We walking in single file, but holding onto one anothers hands. When we walked around a corner near the bottom of the church steeple, there was the school secretary waiting for us to walk past, and she grabbed each of us around our tummy's. Forgetting that we had our one and only male teacher at the school, Mr Newell, with us, the secretary went out to grab him, but as he was taller than us children, the secretary, Mrs Jordan, grabbed a very private place on Mr Newell... I didn't know about it at the time, but learnt about it when I was older, in year 6.

Well, that's it folks. The end of another blog. Keep reading, I currently have over 1,700 views! I couldn't thank you enough. I never thought my blogs would achieve that many views.

Until next time,
Katy x

Is It Just Me?

Well Hello there, blog world. What day is it? Sunday! One of my favourite days, because..... ROAST DINNER!
So, today I thought I would write a post about my little hates in life and question Is It Just Me? Yes, you're going to learn about what really gets my blood boiling, and my O.C.D fired away.

1. Turned On Plug Sockets

One of the most annoying things, that I come across in day-to-day life. On a plug socket, when nothing is plugged in, but yet, it's still switched on and the red side is facing upwards. I don't know if it's my father in me, thinking about wasting electricity, or whether it's just my O.C.D kicking in, when the other switch is off.

2. Human Hairs on Jumpers

One of my main O.C.D problems is when people have dark coloured jumpers/cardigans and they're covered in shiny human hairs. The most annoying times this happens is when you are sitting on a public bus, and the person sitting in front of you has a few hairs on them, which you are itching to remove from them, but don't want to seem like some sort of weirdo touching strangers. So, in the end, I just sit there, trying to hold my hand back my hand from grabbing the hairs off. I end up looking like I have an arm with a life of its own and I have to control it.

3. Last Minute Changes

Surely I can't be the only one who finds this annoying. When you arrange plans with someone, and you're looking forward to it, and you're all ready to go and meet them, and just as you leave the house, the other person messages/texts you saying that 'Something has come up' or 'I can't come anymore'. I get so annoyed with that person at first and go into a bad mood with them. But usually in the end, I see sense, and I become tamed again.

4. Even Volume Numbers

You're sitting in the car and listening to the radio, in your room and your iPod is on shuffle or you're just listening to a CD. Suddenly, your favourite song comes on (For me 'Dark Horse' by Katy Perry or 'Classic' by MKTO) and you just have to turn the volume up. At this point, my OCD kicks in and the volume HAS to be on a even number. In my view, odd numbers are bad luck, so it always has to be even.

5. Pencil Case and Book Arrangement on Table

Now, at school, you always have to have your pencil case (for me, pencil caseS because I have one for ordinary stuff and another one for just fine liners) and your homework planner out on the table with you in a lesson. My O.C,D always kicks in at this point and my planner has to be at the corner of the table, with my two pencil cases on top of it. This is probably the only time in my life that I am organised and neat.

Well, reader chums, now you know more about me. What really annoys me, and my OCD habits. Hopefully I won't be the only person who gets annoyed about these things...
Until Next Time

An Incite Into My Madness

Hey there Internet! (Yes I did just use a danisnotonfire quote, and if you do not know who he is, please go step on a piece of lego, and return to reading my blog post).

So, school has started and we are starting to see people that we love/hate everyday. For this blog post, I have decided to talk about memories I have from school. Yes, if you have read my past blogs or you do in fact no me in person, you know that I am still in school. But I thought I would talk about silly little things me and my friends make up in our little world. Some don't make sense unless you were actually there at the time, and some are hard to explain. But I am going to do my best and try and give you an introduction to the world of me and my friends...Good Luck!

Now, firstly, I moved schools in January, and I will be talking about memories from both schools. There is West Buckland and Pilton. I am currently at Pilton.

I am going to start off with a memory from West Buckland. I was with my group of friends, and one of them, Beth, grabbed hold of my leg, and was hugging it. Suddenly, she said 'Katy, I can see up your skirt' so I said 'oh well done you lesbian, that's what you get when you hug peoples legs' so she said that she wasn't a lesbian, she was a shoe, and then suddenly my friend Meera suddenly yelled 'She's a lesbian shoe!!'. So, from there on, we started calling each other lesbian shoes...

One of the carrying on personal jokes I have at Pilton is 'Ducky'.. So Me, Cara and Emily were in French class, in the computer lab. We were learning about how to write/speak about where we live. Cara didn't know what to put, so she just put some random words into Google Translate, and hoped for the best. Turns out she wrote, in french 'Cara lives in a big yellow duck', so now, in our fantasy world, Cara lives in a big yellow duck, on the river Clyde (Cara is actually Scottish), and her nickname, Ducky..

Another good joke from Pilton is 'The Butter on the Wall'. At our school canteen, you can buy little bread rolls with a little pouch of butter (that's a good word, ain't it. POUCH). I can't exactly remember who it was, but someone out of the big group of us who hang outside the school science block bought one of these butter pouches, and decided to put it on the wall. They removed the gold wrapper, so there was just a massive blob of butter on the wall. From then on, touching 'The Butter on The Wall' would be like touching the cheese from the film 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid'. A few months later, when the butter was still there, someone decided to add to the butter and put some yogurt on top of it. All the boys always threaten to push each other into it.. Remains of 'The Butter on The wall' still remain there today.

Going back to West Buckland, a strong memory that comes to mind is Trevor the Ghost. West Buckland is a 150 and something year old private school. And the place me and my friends used to hang out was at the back of the big assembly hall, called the 'Memorial Hall', is one of the oldest parts of the school. Me and my best mate Danielle had this theory that the school was haunted by a ghost, and we decided to make this ghost our friend, and we named him Trevor. At the back of the hall where these white doors with windows on them, and every so often when me and my friends were up there, chatting and being crazy, as we usually did, these doors used to open and close, all by themselves. When this happened, other than getting slightly creeped out, we said 'Trevor Returns!'.

Reading back on this post, I think I have probably given you readers more than you can handle... Oh well! You have now had an incite into the life that is me. Weather it has been helpful for you or not, I have no idea. But if my friends are reading this, I'm sure they'll enjoy remembering our weird, weird past.

Until next time,
Katy x

My Summer Holidays

Well hello there strangers. I haven't seen you in a while. I am afraid I have been very busy over the summer holidays. But now, unfortunately, summer is coming to an end *sigh* and school is just around the corner (for me, Wednesday 3rd), so I return!
For this post, I thought I would tell you all about the antics that have happened during My Summer Holidays.

As most teenagers do, I spent most of my time with my Friends. From shopping in Plymouth, going to the cinema, to hanging round my house with Pizza and two guitars. I have had many great times with my friends this summer, although I have had a few eye openers, and found who are my true and proper friends.
And yes, I have had a few lovers over the summer. When I say a few, I mean two. But I am now, back to my single pringle status, and I am loving it.

One good memory I have with my friends over the summer is going shopping with my friends Dan and Cara to Plymouth. Other than being extremely disappointed when I realised that I wouldn't see Tom Daley because he was up in Glasgow at the commonwealth games, I had an amazing time. I remember me and Cara coming out of HMV, having bought a poster and a cd each, and our carrier bags looked like axes, and we were storming round Drake's Circus, pretending we had come out of a medieval battle.

Another memory from this summer is going to a Madness tribute band with my parents, my brother and his wife. I didn't spend much time there, I went and saw a few mates who lived near the venue, and hanged with them, but I got back for the last half an hour of the show, and just remember my brother being drunk, and his... special dances...

Recently this week, I went up to London with my mum. I had the excitable pleasure of being able to go to Warner Brothers Studio Tours: The Making of Harry Potter. Yes, I am 14, but being extremely excited would be an under statement for how I felt walking through the doors. I am one huge Harry Potter fan, and proud to be it. If you have a problem with that, you can swish and flick off.

It has now come to the end of yet another blog post. And I would just like to say a huge thank you to my readers, because I only started this blog a view months back, and I seem to have over 1,100 blog views, which amazes me, seeing as I'm just a 14 year old girl, blabbing on and on.

Until next time,
Katy x

Embarrassing, ain't it?

Well, my dear blog readers. I am so sorry for the long gap between my last blog post. Been busy over the summer holidays. But don't worry, I haven't forgotten you! So, to punish my self for my absence, I have decided to share with you my embarrassments, by doing my Top 10 Embarrassing Moments. Here goes nothing...

#10. My Mum walking in on me and my boyfriend

Now, don't worry. It's not as bad as it sounds. I'm only 14 remember. We were doing what most teenage couples do, and making out in my bedroom. And my mum decided to walk into my room, without knocking on the door...

#9. Walking out of The toilets at School with skirt tucked into the top of my tights

This was all the way back in Year 7. I was in the bathroom at school with two of my friends. I walked out of the cubicle and both of my mates were giggling, and I had no idea why. I asked them what was so funny, and they both said it was nothing. So, we walked out into the corridor. Then this year 11 girl tapped me on the shoulder, and told me 'excuse me, your skirt is tucked into the top of your tights'. I looked down and realized what she had said was true, and realized my panties were on show the entire time...

#8. Burping whilst walking down the aisle at my brother's wedding

I was a bridesmaid for my brother's fiancee at their wedding. On the day, I was walking behind my soon-to-be sister-in-law and her father. It was all so magical, until my belly decided to do it's impression of a whale... Luckily, no one heard it, except the other bridesmaids who were all younger than me, and they just giggled.

#7. Dad doing jazz hands dance in front of my friend

About a year ago, I was having a sleepover with my friend from Primary school. I hadn't seen her in ages, it was a great chance for a catch up. Now, we were in the lounge, watching a film, as you do at sleepovers. My dad then suddenly decided to come into the lounge, and do his most embarrassing jazz hands dance, wearing only his underpants...

#6. Mum laughing loudly in the cinema

A few years back, me and my parents went up to Wales to visit my auntie and uncle. We decided to go and see Johnny English: Reborn at the cinema. In one scene, my mum decided to laugh so loudly, and in the laugh, pig snorts were included.

#5. Mum showing my baby photos to my boyfriend

In a relationship, there always comes a point where your parents want to show off your embarrassing baby photos to your partner. My mum decided to do this with one of my ex's.

#4. Showing off to my friends, and breaking my coxes

On my 13th birthday, I had a few friends back after school and we were going to go to Pizza Express for a birthday meal. Before going for the meal, me and my mates were messing around at my house. I decided to show off, and flop onto my sofa in a cool way. I unfortunately hit my coxes bone on the hard bit in between the cushions, and I broke the coxes bone... Good one Katy.

#3. Mum walking in on my mini festival

As I have mentioned in my past blog posts, I hold mini music festivals, and one time, I was doing my slutty Britney impression, and Mum walked in on it...

#2. Acting cool in front of my crush, with mum around

I was in my local town with my mum, and suddenly I saw my crush. So I decided to do a bit of a sexy walk to try and impress him. He was actually noticing me for once! Then my mum decided to say, rather loudly, 'Katy, why are you walking all weird and looking like a slut?'. My crush must of heard her....

#1. Mum walking up to my crush and introducing herself

At parents evening, I pointed out my crush to my mum, and she decided to go and introduce herself to him and his parents. She said  'So I hear you have stolen my daughter's heart?'...........

So there you go Blog readers. There are my most embarrassing, so far..... Quite funny how many of them include my mum. Says something, don't it?

Until next time

Parents These Days...

Well, blog readers. The time has come for my next blog post... You poor, poor soul... . Now after lots of consideration of what to talk about in my next post, I have come to a conclusion. If you're a smart cookie, then you would have noticed the topic is in the title. And if you haven't, well... Go and play. Brain Training DS or something, because you really need to pay more attention... Yes, the Topic is Parents These Days...

As a teenager, I have to live and put up with parents all of the time. Probably one of the only reasons I enjoy school, is just to get away from my parents for a little while, the constant nagging, and just to generally mingle with other people. But don't get me wrong, I do love my parents.

Now, like the rest of my generation, I pretty much live in my bedroom when at home. Except when there is food involved, and the scent of my mum's cooking fills the house, and creeps underneath my bedroom door. When I do eventually move from my normal position (flopped on my bed, on my iPad, with a side of crisps), I'm like a little hedgehog coming out of hibernation, and when sunlight hits me for the first time, I'm like the witch from The Wizard of Oz...'I'm Melting!'. But usually by the time food is in my sight, all is good.

When my parents decide to intrude my privacy in my bedroom, they come in, say what they need to say, and then leave. But the most annoying-ist part about it is (other than invading my privacy), is that they do not bother to shut the door behind them! I mean, shutting a door isn't freakin' rocket science! It won't take you two seconds just to turn around and shut the door behind you! Geez...

Unfortunately in my life, I experience many embarassing moments. Don't we all though? But one of the most embarassing things that happenend was when my mum decided to walk into the bedroom without knocking... Oh god, that sounds extremely wrong... But it's not what you think, don't worry. Like I said in my first post, 'Who am I?', I like to hold mini music festivals in my front room when my parents are out of the house. But the other day, when just my mum was home, I really wanted to hold yet another mini festival. So, I decided to hold one in my bedroom. I popped on my best summer dress and ray bans on and dance on my bed infront of my mirror, with my music on loud. I was having a ball. Until my mum decided to come into my room and spoil it all... 7 words. THE MOST EMBARASSING MOMENT OF MY LIFE. Well, other than that time I... Actually, thats for me to know and you to find out.

My mother is a rather special case actually. She seems to be turning into Penny, Miranda Hart's mother from the amazingly brilliant TV show 'Miranda'. One of the ways I can tell this is by the way she say's 'Such Fun!'. Also, she says 'What I call' a few times, and then calls the TV remotes Doobries. But then again, I call them that too... Uh-Oh, I'm turning into my mother!

Well, my dear reader chums, it has come to the end of yet another blog post. I hope you enjoyed it and that you laughed at my little life conundrums. If you do have any suggestions for the topic of my next post, do contact me, as I'd love to hear what you think.
All the Best. See you next time!

Who Am I?

Well hello there, my fellow blog readers.
Now, you're probably wondering who the heck am I? Yes? Well, let me introduce myself. My name is Katy Crockett, I am 14 years of age, and am about to embark on one of the most important things that will influence my future and career path. No, not what wether to have my 6 inch. sub from subway to be toasted or not, I am talking about my GCSE's. I haven't actually started them yet, but will this coming September.

Anyway, for my first proper blog post, I thought I would do '10 (not) interesting facts about me' . Now, if you survive the whole 10 facts, then bravo, you shall have a nice, rich tea biscuit to celebrate. Actually, you won't. I shall eat your rich tea biscuit whilst writing this...so there isn't much point in reading this...oh well, let's go with it anyway. Here goes:

1. I have some very interesting cravings

Yes, unfortunately, I do have some rather odd cravings. My most consistent one is my craving for Jam. Not just any jam. It has to be Strawberry jam.

2. I have many Fan Girl Crushes

As most teenage girls, I have a collection of Fangirl crushes. My most powerful ones are Zac Efron, Harry Judd, Ross Lynch and Robert Downey Jnr. Yes, the last one may be old enough to be my father, but who cares. He is probably the George Clooney of my generation, along with Benedict Cumberbatch.

3. I have a twin

This is actually something quite a lot of people don't actually know about me. I do in fact have a twin sibling. Don't worry, i'm not crazy and keep my twin locked away in a cupboard. Unfortunately, my twin died when my mother was 8 weeks pregnant. I know what you are probably thinking, 'Oh my goodness, I am so sorry!'. No mean to sound harsh or selfish, but it actually doesn't emotionally effect me. I just thank the lord that I am the surviving twin, and that I am healthy.

4. I can probably recite most lines from the film 'Titanic'

Ok, so maybe not all of the film, but if we were watching the film, and you randomly paused it, other than being extremely annoyed at you, I could probably say the next 10 lines, because I have watched it that many times.

5. I know all the lyrics to most JLS songs

I know probably most of you may not like JLS, but I freaking well love them. From Beat Again, to the last single Billion Lights, I know all of the lyrics. That is why is there was a GCSE in JLS lyrics, I would get an A* with honours.

6. When I am home alone, I hold a mini Glastonbury festival in my front lounge

When my parents are out, and I am the only one in the house, I switch the TV on, put MTV on with the volume on loud, I sing my heart out, and prance around like a mini Beyonce.

7. I have to have my iPhone with me pretty much 24/7

I can never be without my phone. I think, 'What if my crush suddenly decides to message me on Facebook?' (That will probably never happen, considering that he hates me) or 'What if my mother gets hit by a Tractor with a trailer carrying sheep?!' (Considering where I live, that might happen, with the sheep I mean).

8. I have to have some sort of contact with my Best Friends at least once a day

To making up random paradies including ducks and chickens to songs from Frozen, to planning on running up our local high street in our onesies. I have to talk to my girls at least once a day.

9. I can't go a day without listening to either Green Day, Muse or 30 Seconds to Mars

I love all of these bands, so going a day without listening to either of them would a day not worth living.

10. I go to bed late everynight, and regret it every morning

Ok, ok, I know pretty much every teenager does this, but I do it EVERY night. I go to bed at like 11:00pm, and then have to wake up at 6:50am for school. Most adults would say, Go to bed earlier!, but they have no idea what it is like to live in our generation. With Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram etc. having constant access, it is hard for us to say to ourselves 'No. Put the phone down and go to sleep!'.

Well done, dear blog reader. You survived the 10 facts of me. You now know a little about me and what I'm about. I hope you enjoyed reading, and that you will enjoy my future posts, when I remember to write them. Oh, and I am sorry to say, that you shall definitely not be getting that rich tea biscuits that I mentioned at the beggining. It has now departed this life, and now in a happier place (A.K.A my stomach).

Much love. See you next time!
